According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), shifts in the way that care is delivered during a Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak will be required, stating “since infection prevention is a large part of mitigating the risk of the spread, social distancing has become prevalent.” In accordance with the Governor of Texas, Gregg Abbott’s order in the midst of the Coronavirus outbreak to provide flexible work and telehealth services, Phillips & Alford Psychological Associates will be offering counseling sessions via the doxy.me telehealth platform. Doxy.me is a state of the art secure and encrypted telehealth service which complies with HIPAA, GDPR, PHIPA/PIPEDA, and HITECH requirements. Additional consent (in accordance with APA and TSBEP guidelines) will be required before your first online session (Informed Consent for Telepsychological Services).
We would also like to assure that we are taking every precaution possible to make sure that our office is a safe and sterile environment for our clients and staff. Therefore, if you or your child/loved one is experiencing any cough, cold, or flu-like symptoms, please make an online therapy appointment vs. an appointment in-office.
To change a previous in-office appointment to an online appointment, simply notify your therapist/service provider and then use their doxy.me link to start the session at the already scheduled time.
To change an in-office appointment to an online appointment, contact your service provider at...
